By now you may have heard the buzz around new generative AI tools like ChatGPT or the new Bing, but there’s a lot more to generative AI than any one single framework, project, or application. In this article, we’ll explore what generative AI is with some real-world applications, and how it’s already changing the way people work.
Short Intro to Text based Generative AI ( ChatGPT ) :
ChatGPT is a member of the generative pre-trained transformer (GPT) family of language models. It has been trained by using self-supervised and reinforcement learning models. ChatGPT is one example of text based generative AI out of its many competitors like Google Bard, Microsoft Bing AI, DeepMind Sparrow .

Generative AI is a real game changer . It takes every piece of data available in the web and train the AI models. As a result, the output of generative AI is more accurate and it covers multiple domains . But also keep in mind that the data on internet can be biased sometimes, and thus have its influence in the response. Chat GPT can also make mistakes known has hallucinations. It can try to make a best guess to a question you ask and if it doesn’t know the answer it can be known to create fake information. So be careful to fact check before you trust everything ChatGPT tells you .
Organizations and people (including software developers and engineers) are increasingly looking to generative AI tools to create content, code, images, and more. This was the exact motivation for me to start this newsletter in the first place: to document everything I learn along the way.

At a very high level , generating relevant text / image / audio by taking any sorts of input data (like images, blogs or articles, and music) is Generative AI !! As you might have guessed, this technology can also generate videos, although AI cinematography is a little too early to talk right now.

Healthcare : Disease detection and diagnosis, advance medical research, and accelerate progress in the pharmaceutical space.
Advertising: Generative AI can create new advertisements based on existing ones, making it easier for companies to reach new audiences
Programming : Web design, Pair programming, assisting in Scripting , game development, Neural Network optimization

With its ability to create new content based on existing data, generative AI has the potential to change the way we create and consume content in the future.
